Accidentally caught a crappie the other day, any tips on how to target them? I caught him by just having a worm in the water while paddling somewhere else, but how do I find where they’re schooling and really hit them not by chance?

  1. ConsiderationFar288 on

Minnows or minnow soft plastics. Depends on where u go, but for me and where I go, those work almost every other cast. Cast, slow reel, twitch, and enjoy.

  2. I use a white trout worm threaded onto a small hook. It also works for bluegill, but with bluegill I let it slowly sink down. With crappie I cast and retrieve slowly.
