i’ve been fishing for SRC since i was 12 but always just assumed the bigger ones i catch in tidewater this time of year are considered “ sea run” rather than a resident fish. Caught these two yesterday and i can only assume that the first fish is a resident and the second is a “ sea run” due to its lack of color compared to the first. These were both caught in a section of the river i would consider almost tidewater.

  1. Both of those have pretty nice color — most SRCs I catch are from beach and have only very muted coloring. Did either of them carry sea lice? That’s always a giveaway for cuttys that spend lots of time in the full salt. Great fish either way.
