Hello everyone, I think I have a fungal outbreak but I have no idea how this happened or what to do about it, it's a slimey substance and grows on my plants, this tank has been fully cycled and runs for nearly 2 months now, 3 days ago I started seeing this stuff grow on the outflow of my skimmer, now it's everywhere..

I have to clean my filter sponges daily now because it's clogging up.. I did a "big" waterchange of 50% (scared to do bigger water changes)
Anything else I can do? I'm scared that my plants will melt 😞

It’s Diatomaceous algae, it’s common in new tanks that still haven’t fully matured yet.

Try to gently brush it off the plants and remove as much as you can with a gravel vac. It can kill plants if left unchecked but some extra maintenance for a little while and it should eventually go away.
