Hello everyone!!!

I have been cycling my -15 gallon tall- tank for about a month now (1st pic) and stocked my plants about 2 weeks ago (2nd and 3rd pic). NOW! I tested everything and it’s been consistent so I was finally able to get my gourami and Kory’s! (4th and 5th pic). I purchased 4 “peppered” Korydoras and 1 dwarf blue gourami. Also, I have added 3 assassin snails in there as well. All acclimated and happy (: no gasping or wall surfing. Snails instantly cruising plants and hardscape nibbling away. Fish exploring and nibbling at plants. I’m so excited! Any care tips welcome and if someone could tell me if my gourami is a male or female it would be greatly appreciated. Will post an update once they get comfy and start coloring up 🥹💞😊

Congrats on your tank!! It’s beautiful. Based on pictures I’ve seen, I suspect your gourami is a female. (Take this with a grain of salt. I’ve never owned one, and this is based off of ~5 minutes of googling) Your setup sounds perfect; normally I’d recommend 2/3 more corys, but since your tank is a 15 tall 4 should be plenty. My corys absolutely love Hikari bottom wafers, but will also snap up just about anything that fits in their mouth. It’s super fun watching them root around in the substrate for leftovers. Just be careful not to watch your tank all day; it’s addictive.
