Betta Fish: What’s wrong with the fins of this betta fish my daughter chose?
Hello took my daughter to get a betta for our 5 gallon tank. I was wondering what’s wrong with his fins? Is there anything I can do? Is this from stress ?
Looks like a crown tail betta to me. If so, these fins are normal. 🙂

What type of betta is it,if it’s a crowntail it’s perfectly normal if not then it’s probably fin rot

I tossed the little plastic tub away so fast… after some digging.. it I. Fact is a crowntail male… yay thank you everyone 😅

He most certainly is a crowntail because of the spike likeness on his fins but I noticed a space down further that looks like a tear on second pic. I have a spiky dude as well. It’s harder to notice fungus or biting with these types. Check him carefully.

Fin rot is a thing, might be that.
