The fall feed is in full swing here in New England. I went out Thursday morning, thinking I was going to go after some smallmouth, but ended up finding a mega bag of northern largemouth that were gorging on smelt. It was really cold and really windy, but like I always say, no brain no pain.
There's a rod that is glued in my hand this time of year. It's the Dobyns DC 732sf and I use it to shake a minner, dropshot, or anything else that requires a super lightweight leader. The backbone to flex ratio of this rod is unmatched with all the other spinning rods I've used over the years, and it's super lightweight and sensitive for feeling a bite on slack line.
You couldn't pry it from my cold stiff wee …. Hands!

This was my 3rd best solo bag ever, and I lost a 5+ at boat side! Fall fishing is just unbeatable.
