Considering a new setup.

I recently started fishing again after a long hiatus. I picked up a St. Croix Triumph 7’ MF rod and a shimano ultegra 3000 to fish for trout and reds in the creeks. I have been going out on a friends boat and we go out to the banks and fish the ocean side. Using my current setup had me a lil nervous but it handled every fish I caught like a champ! See pics for some of the fish. I am considering getting something a little bigger for kind of a light surf setup. Looking at a shimano ultegra 5000 and a St. Croix Avid MHF rod. I don’t think I need to go full surf rod but I am open to hearing some opinions.
