  1. Ive only used the gulp minnows in freshwater, somewhat pricey catches fish every cast but not so durable. Maybe those are a bit better

  2. Those curly tails you’re looking at are good in the spring and summer. Color is going to depend on the water your fishing in

  3. For reds and specks, new penny colored 3” shrimp, can hang it under a popping cork or rig it dropshot to fish next to cover and over oyster beds. For shrimp imitation it’s all I carry, I’ve never felt like I needed anything else.

For minnows I prefer matrix shad. 1/4-3/8oz jigheads. I’ll either throw just the jighead with a baitcaster or I’ll throw it under a popping cork with a spinning rod.

  4. All of the colors will catch fish, their scent and action will attract the fish. I personally fish pearl white out of habit for fluke and sea bass since that’s what I’ve grown up fishing and have had the best luck on personally, I also fish mainly white buck-tails and teasers so it makes the bait more uniform looking with all white. Color is more so a confidence thing than anything else in my opinion. That being said I’ve seen days where the fish will hit on certain colors and not others. So the choice is highly dependent on the water you are fishing (clear or dirty) and the color of the bait that is running through at the time in your area.
