Betta Fish: Pablo didn’t make it :(

I got him a year ago from a pet store because he just looked so lively and eagerly followed my finger around in that little container. I took him home because I didn’t want him to stay on the shelf for the rest of his days

Before hurricane Milton hit, he was already showing signs of lethargy and not wanting to eat much. I lost power for over 24 hours and didn’t have a generator to power his filter.

Unfortunately, when we finally got power and I checked on him in the morning, he was already gone. Despite being a little fishy in a tank, he brought me so much joy just seeing him swim around and have fun.
