I’m doing 1/5 doses since my betta is in a 1 gallon hospital tank. Treating for severe fin rot (caused by potential columnaris). I haven’t seen much improvement, but I think his fin deterioration has slowed down since treatment. Can I continue using Kanaplex?

Also I tried indian almond leaves and aquarium salt prior to this, neither worked at all and his fins were becoming 10x worse each day. Water parameters were all fine (API Master Test Kit).

I can switch over to methelyne blue but usually Kanaplex + Nitrofurazone is paired to treat saddleback disease/columnaris and I’m not sure how to dose his hospital tank with it quite yet.

I can’t offer advice on the meds you’ve listed, but I recommend throwing Artemiss Microbe Lift into the mix. It shouldn’t affect the meds you’re using in any way.

A few of my guppies had *extreme* fin rot, and antibiotics weren’t touching it. They lost their entire tails up to the base. Once I started using the microbe lift they grew it back completely within a month. It’s to the point where I don’t even reach for other meds atp, dosing it alone works well enough for me.
