Found a 7’3” H/F 13 Fishing Meta rod on sale for $100 on Amazon and figured I’d take my chances with less than desirable packaging, but holy hell, was I shocked to see this at my front door! Not even a cardboard box!
Everything checked out after inspection but I think I’ll be sticking to shops I know ship in tubes from now on. 🤣

Quite frankly, often times when you see people complain about broken rods, a big contributor is the fact that they buy from retailers that ship rods really poorly. The rod blank has already been weakend because it got banged up in transit.
Then when they hook on a fish, the rod breaks at that weak point.
