Here’s my 75 gal. I haven’t done a water change in about 3 months and my water parameters are great. I’ve got an air pump filter, hydroponics, and floating plants which keep the water column pretty clean.

I just hate looking at the detritus clump up towards the front. It seems like it’s mostly made up of dead leaves. I’m assuming it provides the fish some food? Because I always seem them nibbling at it.

Do you guys suggest I do a water change to remove it? Or should I just leave it be and let the tank do its thing?

  1. leave it, i personally love mulm build ups, but if the leave droppings are mostly disintegrated or black, you can take those out
