Got some Itty bitty hooks, eggs and some 2lb line. anyone have any suggestions as to additional lures or such? Also curious if a bobber will be too much as I imagine I'll be fishing fairly shallow banks for the small guys. Im assuming people sight fish most of the time but it would be nice to pitch it out and read a book sometimes.

I am a novice fisherman to begin with and am dipping my toe into microfishing because I can fit everything on my bike and hit some of the waterways in town. Spinning reel, don't know how to fly fish so stuff like dry flies are gonna go over my head without further explanation.

Get some Tanago hooks (I mainly use the Aldridge #1 from theartofmicrofishing.com and Owner New Half Moons from anglersemporium.com). They’re a lot smaller than any standard hook, which will help you catch the smallest of shiners, darters, etc.

An assortment of tiny fly fishing split shots, some tippet clips (for quickly affixing a new hook and leader to your line when you inevitably break off), and a small photo tank of some sort, and you’re all set!

Aside from the Aldridge hooks, I get pretty much everything else I use from Angler’s Emporium. (I don’t work for them or anything, they just have great service and seem to the only ones that stock a lot of the JDM micro stuff.)
