This is an Spiny Spiky Marsh Snail, also known as a Thiara Amarula snail, not very common in Australia but has a very wide distribution across much of South East Asia. They seem to be quite nocturnal and usually bury themselves in the substrate for much of the day. I got this snoot last week via Abaquatics in Australia, and so far its been a treat watching it crawl out and rasping over the pebbles for algae and other scraps the shrimp leave behind!
