I wanted to hang my rods in a spare room, so I bought this rack, ran toggle bolts through the drywall, and hung it all up. Honestly I just don’t want to re drill the toggle bolts and move the rack at the rod end back. Do you think that storing the rods with that slight bend would mess them up over time?

  1. They shouldn’t get damaged by storing them with a slight bend, but I personally would not store them like this. I’d move the rod racks so that one is behind the reel and the other is more-or-less at the center point of the rods.

I don’t think this will warp your rods but I’d move the portion supporting the rod tips closer to the reel. Somewhere between guides 2 and 3 on the bottom rod.

If you don’t want to move the two racks get some Command Strip hooks to put in between to straighten the rods.

I think the rods need more support in the middle. Not a fan of the bend in them.

Don’t MOVE the right rack, instead add a third one in the middle to cancel all the bends. Idk if a problem exists but preventing it is easier than fixing four rods.

Id slide the rack that’s near the tips down so it’s more like 2/3rd‘s the way up the rod. That way handle and mid section gets support and the tips will have a slight bend, if they have any since that’s the lighter end.

I have a 20×40 shed I use for storage and woodworking out of. My are in holders a lot like yours but they are on my ceiling and this is how I do it. First rack is where the handles go in, right up near the reel. Second rack is about 2/3rds up most of my rods (a few it’s different, depending on length) and I’ve had zero issues. I also like it because it doubles as functional and a display of your rods
