this looks like a drop shot rig built from stuff you found on the bank at the spillway. is it good? highly doubtful. will it catch something? yeah, probably with enough time in the water.

A proper dropshot rig will absolutely slay.
This is in the spirit of one of those, even if it is quite rough. Cast it out. Let the weights sit on the bottom and hop the lure up until you feel it go tight. Let it fall. Repeat.
