I should have done research before but I think being here is better than the Tupperware he was in at the store. He’s in 5 gallons, temp at 79°, has live plants, has a filter, but I don’t know if he’s happy? He seems to be real pissed at his reflection but I’ve read he’ll get used to it. He’s swimming back and forth and I don’t know if he’s asking for something or if he’s adjusting or if I missing something. I know I need a leaf or a wide something or other and probably more coverage for him as the plants grow. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Hi! Flaring st himself stresses him out so maybe order something to block his reflection so it doesn’t stress him out unnecessarily, If he is staring at his reflection and getting angry ( flaring / attacking ) I don’t think you should get shrimp for the tank, shrimp are also touchy and I’m assuming this is your first fish I would recommend it. If you want, potentially go for a snail! Also if you don’t mind can you tell me if you know about the cycle of the tank and checking your parameters? ( I’m sorry if I just skimmed over this and what not but yeah !)
