I bought this beautiful reel a while ago and it wasn’t quite as smooth as I expected so I did the reasonable thing and oiled it and but a little bit of grease on the gears. I’ve used it a decent amount since and have had no problems (though still not quite as smooth as as I expected)
But after reading a bunch more about magseal I’m worried that I put grease where magseal should be and that I will/did possibly damage my reel. In the bottom of the body is where I greased. Should I not worry about it, or should I send it to Daiwa to be serviced? And how much does that normally cost?
