PSA: Do Not Buy Fenwick Fishing Products

Just figured I would drop some info for anyone out there looking at Fenwick. I was fishing Taylor Creek in Colorado and hooked up to a few nice fish (pic attached). 10 minutes after that fish my rod split in half for literally no reason during my back cast. I wasn't caught on anything, no snags, it literally just snapped. I thought the pieces just came apart but when I went to slide them back in place I realized I was SOL. I have been trying to contact Fenwick's customer service for 4 weeks. I have sent multiple emails + called 10 times (note multiple calls per day were for different extensions). They claim to offer a warranty but I literally can't get ahold of anyone to get the process started. I won't be buying their products going forward and I would recommend you look elsewhere as well.

That is all. Tight lines fellas.

  1. Sucks that you’ve had a bad experience. My Fenwick rods have been great. Haven’t ever had to use the warranty program because nothing has broken so can’t weigh in there.

Yeah sucks that happened to yours. I love my Inshore Elite. I found a defect and went back to my seller and got a brand new one no questions asked, just had to show proof of purchase

When I first started using fenwick I broke two of them. They are definitely more fragile then other rods but I love them

I’ve got a pair of Aetos spinning rods I bought used a few years ago, no idea how old they really are. The 2 piece medium-light fast rod usually bounces around in the truck, and the 1 piece medium fast is my finesse smallmouth rod. Caught some tanks on both of them and they’re still going strong.

  5. I have broke fenwick products, I always email pictures with explanation of what happened and they have always sent replacements
