Never cycled a tank with an ‘active substrate’ so I’m not too sure, been two weeks with stability and stress coat, a cycled filter and other media and the parameters have finally stabilised a couple of days ago, is it ready for a fish? Soil is still leeching small amounts of ammonia but this doesn’t exceed 0.10 because the cycle has been handling this for weeks and is usually 0 with me testing every day and doing water changes if necessary. Is it ready for a betta?? I’m able to add more cycled media from an established tank if anything goes wrong.
Ph is lowered by the jade stone in there and substrate but is stable so I’m not too worried about that.
