Was able to reset the bail spring and now the reel seems to be working smoothly. Still needs to be cleaned up, oiled and grease to be safe.

Now question is, am I likely just going to break this rod hooking into a fish or think it still has some life in it? Or maybe my pictures ain't good enough to tell. I know it's old but I'm just not sure how old it is.

Which leads me to my next question. I'm having trouble deciphering the model # on the rod in the last picture. So far I've figured out it is a Motion Taper. Those next 2 line seem to be evading me. I've tried several possible combos but still coming up dry. Just curious what I got here.
Thanks all

Can’t find out without tryin! Look for cracks or anything that obviously already compromises the strength. If not, go for it. I use a 1980’s Daiwa fly rod lol
