usually by the model number. The first 2 number is the length, then it’s # of pieces. USSP562L, so it’s 5’6” 2 pc Light Power

The number 2 in the model number USSP562L indicates it’s a 5’6” 2-piece Light power rod. The joint in your second picture under that rod guide is where it should disconnect. Twist/wiggle it left and right and it should loosen up for you to take apart
