Long story short, my friend suddenly gifted me her tank after she had to move away due to emergencies. I have been sitting here with this for 2 days feeling horrible because I don't know where to start on helping this poor fish!! The plants look dead, there's clearly old dookie under the substrate, and the filter hasn't been changed in who knows how long…HOW DO I FIX THIS?!?! I have never had a fish before, nonetheless with live aquatic plants! I am not in a very lux financial position, but ANY advice will be taken!! Please help me!
