Please meet Niko. I bought a betta fish and I love him but I want to do right for him. I have been lurking on the sub for a while. I really want to know what plants to get for him. I’ve already bought a tank and heater and stuff to get his tank quick started.

Get water condition (Seachum Prime seems to be the gold standard here) and go straight for the API Master Test Kit (drops test)… more expensive options, but you’ll save money by buying it before wasting money on faulty test strips. Water cycling seems to be pretty critical as well
