The rod was against the concrete dam pictured and I leaned against it for a second and it snapped. Trout are being stocked this weekend most likely and I was looking forward to using this rod. Can I still use it while I wait for the replacement to come in the mail ~ 1 week? I do have other rods I can use they're just low quality in comparison.(I continued to use the rod in the dam and caught a few more small fish (pic 3) but would that be an issue with a decent sized trout ?)

Go to Walmart and get an ugly stick, the 4’6 or 5’ ultra light 1 piece, while the new one is on its way. When the new one shows up, the ugly stick goes into reserve status. You don’t want to miss the stocking because you’re fishing with a busted rod. My 4’6 1 piece is the ultimate backup rod. I put a 1000 shimano sienna reel on it. Such a loyal pairing.
