I’ve had my betta, Gojo, in the same 5 gal tank for 3 years using medium to large river rocks as the only substrate. The tank has live plants and a snail that are thriving and Gojo hasn’t had any health issues. I’m upgrading my tank to a 11.33 gal soon and was wondering if I should be using something else or if there are any cons to using river rocks.
