Been in the river with it a few times this summer. Throwing some heavier stuff and I think I’ve finally gotten comfy with it. Going to a lake this weekend in Parry Sound, On. I think I gotta take this? First bait already rigged up on 15lbs Invizx. BassX 7,1 MH and a Piscifun Torrent II. Dont mock the Piscifun, wasn’t sure if I’d stick with it, spinning guy, but I’m super excited about trying it on a quality lake.

Don’t you cast that boat.
Piscifun is made in the same factory as Quantum. So it’s a decent reel. It will feel weird at first but then it feels normal. Get your sea legs basically. Have fun.
Have fun and be patient with it. I’m still learning bait casters myself and they can be kind of frustrating to dial in. Once you get the hang of it though it’s a ton of fun, especially for top water baits coming into the fall.
One thing I would mention though, I would bring spare line, and a spare combo with you if fishing is the goal. Sometimes those wind casts and snags that you can’t untangle yourself from can cause a major headache. It’s easier to just move on to a different setup to keep fishing and deal with the mess later on land.
