Finally got my first ever shrimp to put in the 40L/10G tank i started a couple of months ago which I wanted to turn into a shrimp tank. It took me quite a while because I couldn’t find anyone who was selling them for a good price. I want some tips about how to keep them alive , feed and breed them

I already got some assassin snails in that tank. Do you think they will be a problem for the shrimp ? Do they eat their eggs or something?

  2. As long as you’ve got a fully cycled tank and adequate water hardness that’s just about all you need for them. As for feeding you can give them a wide variety of blanched veggies really any fish food or algae wafers for protein but for the most part they’ll spend they day grazing on biofilm/algae in the tank. Give them a month or two to adjust to your water properly and you’ll start to see some berried shrimp and babies

  3. Well, the first thing to do is get the name right. If you’re gonna own them, they’re called “skrimps” now.

Next, you are supposed to watch them, *closely*, for at least an hour per day. When watching them, you are also supposed to say, “nom nom nom” when they’re eating- which is all the time.
