I’m gonna guess some kind of salmonoid, I’m only somewhat familiar with steelhead and king salmon in NorCal. What’s the fishing report like down there? I’m thinking of taking my kayaks and e-bikes down there soon. I’ve turned a couple keeper sized cali halis loose there, but after paying 30 bucks a plate for the same fish in the harbor I am gonna keep them to cook up in the vacation rental next time.

Looks like a small Spanish mackerel, a late summer arrival up in the northeast where I fish. Is there a pacific counterpart?

Juvenile king or coho salmon, make sure to be careful handling those lil fellas theyre incredibly sensitive and die easily
