My wife and I went to a small city lake. I thought I would fish and she would paddle around. Forgot all the tackle and a rod.
Harvested 9 baits, a brand new beckley whopper plopper. Attached 2 jig heads with curly tails I found to the sides of the kayak and went on.
I was pulling white crappies every 10 minutes left and right.

Lessons learned:
1. Fishing is what you make of it. It's definitely not catching or harvesting for me.
2. There are rules and science of everything around angling but I still find it absolutely random and somewhat mysterious.
3. Take life as it is.comes. Develop resilience, recover fast, move on.

Tight lines, folks.
