Soft plastic time

I just get the YUM grub and I’ll use it in my next fishing day
Ive been having the other ones for some time but I haven’t caught anything with them yet… any recommendations on how to use this lures and How can I make them more effective ??
I’m using a medium light rod mainly getting Bluegills with Gulp worms 🪱 & bobber
Also what soft plastic would you recommend??
