That’s why when I take out the boat I take like 5 rods. Usually 4 bait casters and a spinning rod, but never just one rod and never just one bait caster.

That isn’t even that bad of a backlash. Ten good pulls on that line will fix that. Either that or grab another rod. This is why we bring multiple rods to fish lol
