Would you eat rainbows from here? River on the end of a valley, farmland upstream for ~10kms. No visible runoff from the 10000 souls city it runs through. People swim here.
Too much, or should it be ok? It was top heavy at first, so had to redo it again after repositioning the knot, and it helped a bit, seems to be just a bit still but yeah Posted by yungflexxus
leftpointsonly on September 21, 2024 2:10 pm I’m new too but my understanding is that this looks quite loose and also over spooled.
Dockdangler on September 21, 2024 2:10 pm Too much, you will never need it that full and its going to tangle.
someguy1620 on September 21, 2024 2:13 pm Might be a little over spooled, but it should fish. If you find it rat nesting when you cast just cut it back a bit
Ok_Eye_7394 on September 21, 2024 2:19 pm I think it’s way over spooled. Should be fine for a couple of throws but you will get random tangles out of nowhere.
softserveshittaco on September 21, 2024 2:26 pm Bit overspooled, but it’s not a big deal. You’ll get tangles here and there and cut them out until the amount is perfect
SaltySaltyDog on September 21, 2024 2:30 pm You’ll get knots when casting eventually, cut em back until they stop happening and you’ll be at optimal spool amount
Isthis2-tone on September 21, 2024 2:36 pm Looks a little over (maybe cut a few yards) also if you’re straight tying to your lures or what have you you’ll run through it pretty quickly 👍
mikewilson2020 on September 21, 2024 2:51 pm You’ve atleast 20 30 yards too much.. When over full the line spills off by itself uncontrollably and you will have issues early on.
