  1. I normally use some fishing line to tie the Anubias to some wood or rocks and just forget about them i love Anubias. Some i have now are growing out the water

  2. I don't mind the background at all and I'd love to see more gourami and some other medium body fish. Maybe like 300 shrimp to set up a self susstaining population and make use of all that awesome algae on the back wall. Maybe they wouldn't all get eaten in those numbers

  3. For fish to add, seeing you love the gourami, why not African butterfly fish? I vote for keeping the tetras the same kind, or maybe add another school of something like red eye tetras and more of what you have.

Have you considered microglanis bumblebee catfish?

  4. I have never had issues with altum angel or sveni geophagus coming after tankmates like bigger tetras (altum angels with definitely eat smaller tetras like neon)
A dozen of denison barbs will take this tank to the next level

  5. An epic sized school of tiny fish could be something in that 16ft tank. Something tight schooling, so they'll move across the whole tank in a shiny, colorful ball.

  6. Joey I don't remember if you've ever tried it but a plant I've had good luck with is water sprite. Like you I've had best luck with low light plants and it's a good plant for filling a space out.

  7. Leopard Danios have such lovely fins as well as their behavior is awesome. They are shoaling instead of schooling so they swim around a lot in a starling style murmur. Yes, a big whirlwind cloud of fish endlessly moving. They won't stay in one place and will cause the other fish to swim around as well.

  8. I like the new additions, especially the Clown Loaches and the Gouramis. I think Longfin German Blue Rams and striped hillstream loaches would look good in this style of tank if you are still considering other fish to add.

  9. I wouldn't trust small tetra with Altums, maybe if they were added when the Altums were smaller. No idea about Geophagus. Clown Loaches and Pearl Gouramis should do fine.

  10. My LFS has a long tank with lots of threadfin tetra in it and they are constantly moving from one end to the other in a big school. It is a really cool scene.
