I don’t overfeed my tetras, all of them except this one seem really big. I don’t see competition when feeding, they all seem to eat equal amounts. I feed them one small spoons worth of granule foods in the morning and four sinking tablets every afternoon, but those are only for my corys. I feed them bloodworms every now and then, but not often. Is this a matter of genetics? And more importantly, is this harmful for the tetra?

(Also sorry if my tank is a bit yucky, I haven’t had a chance to clean it due to recent events)

  1. For comparison, biggie is the size of about 2.5 cm, or about the same size as my corydoras shown on the 3rd image

  2. he’s right side up so I wouldn’t think it’s a swim bladder infection. I don’t think it looks like dropsy, can you see if it’s scales are sticking out as if it’s spiky? It could be bacterial or parasitic.. which would be best case scenario since it’s treatable with meds.
