Some people were curious about where the tank would go considering the shape. I think my desk is a good spot that will allow for the best viewing around the house, and for me sitting at my desk.
The tank is cycling and won't be ready for anything for a bit and I am not in a hurry. My other tank has dark sand, so I am going lighter with this one. I plan to build my own bonsai type tree for the center. I still haven't decided on stocking yet as I am researching the suggestions people have been giving me.
As for the construction of the tank and the horror stories of hexegon tanks, I plan to just see what happens. I have checked the seals and everything looked perfect to me. I couldnt justify not filling it all the way out of fear given the quality and seemed a shame to not use it the way it was intended. If something does happen I am already in the mindset to deal with it.
I'll update again when it's all set up with plants, fish and shrimp or the tank fails catastrophically. Expect pictures either way. Thank you.
