So I've went fishing here a lot and I just can't get anything hooked. I've gotten a couple of fish but I usually go home empty handed. I just don't know what to throw or do to get a fish I see them swimming around sometimes so I know there is fish. I've used all kinds of spinners, soft plastics, crank baits, flies but nothing. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do because it's starting to get colder and nicer weather for fishing. Mainly rainbow amd brown trout not stocked. Any help is appreciated.

throw on a panther martin spinner, or any spinner at that. Also have a rooster tail. Those will get you fish forsure just make sure to look for pockets where the water isn’t rushing and the trout should hangout around there, they also like to hangout around big rocks that acts as cover from the current. Goodluck brotha Post that first trout here!
That looks amazing there I’d love to be fishing it. I’d be targeting areas like where you panned downstream and there’s a big rock in the middle of the river. The water in front of that rock is going to be less turbulent and trout like to sit in those areas facing upstream. I’d use a 1/16 rooster tail and cast along side that rock and work it upstream so you can make slow passes to the front area. I’d look for more of those type spots and work them but being careful as you approach so you don’t spook any
Ever consider making a switch to the dark side? Nymphing on a fly rod or a dry dropper set up would probably be pretty effective. An olive wooly bugger would also be choice.
If it’s an artificial lure/fly river only then maybe try drifting a plastic egg or plastic worm with some split shot through the hole.
#10 skeeter
Blue fox #4 chrome. Been using the same one for four years and it always brings in a trout.
Throw your phone. You’re wasting good fishing time. Then spend ten decent minutes on different sets. When all else fails, five of diamonds!!
