I was fishing a local retention pond for peacocks with a 1/8 ounce rooster tail and a had a couple under my belt including the small one. Then the big snakehead hit. It was an unusual strike for a snakehead as it was towards the center of the pond near a drop off. The way it fought I initially thought I had a landlocked snook.
Somehow the rooster tail was still salvageable after the snakehead got it, and I just needed to bend it back straight, and it kept fishing nicely.
