Flippin a big 5/8oz or 3/4 oz black n blue jig into the nasty heavy cover with a 7’6 heavy action flippin rod with 65lb braid & a HG Metanium…nothing like that battle; having to turn a big bass around in cover & wrestle it into the boat. Absolute chaos that will break your heart sometimes, but damnit is it fun.

Top water for obvious reasons and free weight plastics. Something about feeling them pick it up and watching the line leisurely move before you set that hook on em.

Whopper plopper or buzz bait. I can’t get enough of the top water. Otherwise I’m a HUGE fan of ultralight tackle and having a long methodical battle
