Just got this rod moments ago from Amazon. It's a daiwa AIRD-X which I got for my new legalis.
The second eyelet, or first eyelet on the second piece is bent. Is this normal? It feels like if I bend it straight, it will weaken the integrity of the eyelet.
Should I exchange it?

Bend it back. I’m not the kindest to my gear and I have to do it all the time. No issues yet
Just bend it back. It happens often/easily with non-premium components
Probably normal for Amazon, unfortunately. I ended up just buying a rod at a local store since the one I got from Amazon had eyelets that snapped off the rod from being bent too far.
Just exchange it if you can, you shouldn’t have to deal/worry about it on a new rod.
I’d bend it back. It doesn’t look that bad. Based off my experience with Amazon shipping rods, there’s a high chance the one you exchange for will be in even worse shape.
either send it back or bend it back, this happens all the time
