You need a new reel. Someone had to be going on that hard for a long time in a very wrong manner to do that.

I would say some JB weld could fill the cut. But your line is not supposed to go sideways and cut through that arm. Are you sure your line is pass in the guide correctly? Did you use the tiny first guide who is not a guide but a hook keeper? Or the arm is bent but on that picture it seems straight…

Wow! I have never seen that. What reel is that? I’m curious what material the bail arm is made out of.
Unfortunately it’s time for a new reel.

Hts 2000 and propane torch then polish it down then polish with toothpaste.
Or just try to get a new part or new reel.
