  1. All these recent monster pike posts are making me feel silly with my little 34-inch PR. Lol

  2. Not gonna lie. I would have cut the line so I didn’t have to deal with a monster like that

  3. That is a BEAST!!!

Side note; I always wondered why they’re measured in length and not weight to determine their “size”, why is that so???

  4. My man that is amazing! Congrats!

What neck of the woods did you land that Beauty in?? I’ve seen some big northerns coming out of the lakes near me (Manitoba Canada )

I’ve caught some monster Pike in Cross Bay, Cedar Lake, Manitoba in June. One trip, I caught a 42, 38, and 47 inch Pikes in 3 consecutive casts. Really made the trip for me.

We caught a number of Northern’s in Canada in the 80’s. Our longest few were 42-3” with most in the high 30’s and a lot of them at that. Don’t think I’ve ever seen one this size. That would be huge for a Musky. Exceptional fish. Do you think you’ll ever match it?

Can you imagine how much weight that fuckin thing eats a day? Sheesh. Looking like a dinosaur

  10. I have a question and I am absolutely NOT talking shit when I ask. But do these big northerns in that cold water actually fight, or is it more like pulling in a huge bucket of water? Like do they pull drag and run or just put on the pressure for a while? I’ve never caught a pike so I’m just curious how they behave. Absolutely beautiful fish either way! Super jealous of all these badass ice fishing posts lately, where I’m at we had no ice this year.
