Yesterday I changed the water for my fish (had to do a complete water change)..it's just eating and resting fine but today morning I saw a spot which is discolored and a little scaly in the front body of my fish. Looking for someone to guide me.

It's a bowl, has no sharp objects, I added aq.salt while changing water
Fish eats well( fed him in the morning), is sleeping more than usual
Usually doesn't hide in the place I had given him, but it's now hiding after the water change.

  1. It needs minimum 5gal tank, heater, filter, cycled water in the tank with good parameters (google fish in cycling for the water), life plants. When you have those you only change 20%water weekly or biweekly. Otherwise it is just suffering and slowly dying out which can be seen by the lack of color and generally poor condition of the fish. I thinl they have a whole manual on this subredit check it out.

Your fish doesn’t look to great at the moment. I can tell the tank isn’t 5 gal but ignoring that for now, do you have a heater and filter? A filter especially is super important for establishing beneficial bacteria in your tank for breaking down ammonia and nitrite (toxic to fish). Also, why did you have to do a 100% water change? This is really not recommended as it crashes the tanks cycle by getting rid of a lot of the bacteria and is majorly stressful for the fish.
Additionally, if you don’t already grab a master test kit for the water (the liquid one!) I can’t see the discolouration too well but it could be ammonia burn. Whatever it is would likely go away with proper care!
Look up fish in cycling for now!
