My 29G system has turned 1. I’m really happy with how it’s matured. I wanted to share a before and after comparison. This is the first tank over 5 gallons that I’ve ever set up. I watch it for long periods of time if I can.
It has a dirted bottom and a deep later of play sand. Rocks are river stone from Home Depot and there’s a thin layer of grey gravel I got for free. The wood is eucalyptus root.
As for livestock, there are 9 Kuhli loaches, 7 cherry barbs, a bristle nose pleco, 2 Amano shrimps, 2 nerite snails.

Nice aqua scape on the 29gal!! I’ve got a 29gal as well but only have an ornate bichir lol. Had him for 4 yrs now.
