Fish ID – Upstate NY

Any idea what these fish are? They are all over the creek near my house. Look kind of like a small mouth bass but seem different than the ones I catch at the lake. Have never found one above ~10”.

Upstate NY in shallow/cold water, bite nonstop on small rooster tails any time of day.
