I'm happy I caught one to tick it off my lifelist but man…people weren't joking about them tangling everything and unfortunately a lot of slime coat off the guy.
I caught one a little smaller than that, decades ago, in salt water. I dropped it into a 5 gallon bucket and it proceeded to climb out, backwards, on to the deck of the boat. I levitated onto the bow and my husband managed to stop laughing long enough to toss it back in the water. Creepy things. And I am not afraid of snakes in the least.
