New tank, just started cycling. No fish, just plants and some surprise (bladder??) snails that hitched a ride over. Now I want to keep them because they’re cuties (or just not kill them as I get my parameters stable). Two days ago, I noticed these things in the tank. They’re FAST. They keep to the top when the light is off, tunnel in the soil and hide under plants when light is on. I was nervous they looked like damselfly larvae. Now I’m not so sure. What are these things? Are they harmful to my new tank or the snails? Bonus footage of my snail doing snail things. And any advice welcome! I am very new to the hobby.
