Pygmy sunfish are americas answer to Nano Cichlids like Dario Dario.

The Gulf Coast Pygmy Sunfish is tiny, just over 1 inch or 2.5 centimeters long. It will happily live in 5g, but lets be nice and assume you have a 10g ready.

Ph range: 6.5-7.5, not too picky.

Temp: 70-80

Kh: 3-10dKH

They can tank(punpunpun) harsher conditions, but these are a good guideline to follow.

These fish want a FOREST plant the SHIT out of their tank to make them happiest.

Generally they are peaceful, and somewhat shy, happy to hover and just relax. They can be housed with other similarly sized peaceful fish.

They need bloodworms, grindel worms, and other small inverts as food. Reports are mixed of how well they take to frozen food.

Males, when wanting to mate, will do a fascinating dance to entice females so try to get 1 or two ladies if you get a lil gentleman.

Picture is from google, i have yet to own some of these.
