Betta Fish: Am I being paranoid?

I just transferred my Betta into a 35cm Glass Cube tank, it's on of a full Woden tallboy and seems completely level, even wiped down top of tallboy to make sure no dust or anything. I didn't put any styrofoam down and it's just glass on the wood. It should be ok and not crack or combust on me?
tank is cloudy as I use some of my old water from other tank and it he gravel/ substrate got Stirred up
