I just realized that my boy Angelo (got him 2 years ago) is starting to have some discolouration on his head. One side is worse than the other, but he’s incredibly pissed at my
phone lol. Pics 1-2 show it better. Last pic is just there because it’s hilarious. He’s eating fine
My aquarium (5g filtered heated & planted) has been cycled for many years. I recently added some more plants, so maybe that was a problem? It’s 2am where I live rn but I could test my water tomorrow. I didn’t do anything that could crash my cycle but we never know.
Angelo lives with some snails that came along with the plants + 2 assassin snails to keep the other snails under control.
Any help appreciated! He’s my sweet little boy and I’m scared that he’s caught something.

He used to eat tropical fish formula from big bites but i recently changed to their betta formula because the bites were a bit big for him
My tank has been heated since water T° started dropping in august
I change about 20% of the tank water once every ~10 days. My house is super dry so the water evaporates a lot, sometimes I just top it off
I got live plants and store bought rocks in the tank, nothing sharp and his fins aren’t damaged
Not going to lie I see nothing wrong with that guy
i think its because hes getting quite old, if you had him for 2 he and he was probaly 1 when you bought him, that means hes like 3 years old
